Guam Confucian School--A view of old vs new

Guam Confucian School in Yeongnam Sunbi Cultural Park

Level: Easy, except the hill climb to the temple---can park and walk up

Distance: Easy--about 19km roundtrip from downtown/ Camp Henry

Locating: A little difficult, but if you use Naver Map and look for the entrance of Yeongnam Sunbi Culural Park, follow the road up and it will bring you to the Guam Confucian Academy complex.

In the north part of Daegu just past the Biker break area with the giant otter is a beautiful traditional style Confucian Academy. We parked at the bottom and hiked the rest of the way up (make sure to lock your bike!) but if you enjoy a challenge biking up this hill to the academy would sure be one. This academy tucked away in Yeongnam Cultural Park offers outstanding views of the city full of skyscrapers; giving a stark old vs new view of the world. This would be an absolutely beautiful evening ride destination as the school is lit up at night.
