The Arc/ Kangjung Resort

Level: Easy, flats and some relaxed hills going on and off the path

Distance: About 50km roundtrip from downtown/ Camp Henry (Intermediate)

Locating: Fairly easy, mostly going straight on Geumho River but you'll need to cross over on some of the bridges closer to the The Arc to stay on the path.

What is the Arc?

The Arc is a large space ship looking building. That's it. Well, there is a roof top coffee shop and a little museum inside. It's really great at night as the whole space ship illuminates to communicate to us earthlings.

The surrounding area is a great place to relax and you'll find here that the two rivers of Geumho River and Nakdong River connect and also connect you to the major bike road that spans the country.

If you're not in the mood to bike over there, bikes can be rented in the area to explore the Nakdong River bike trails. There are many art sculptures and an epic bikers only bridge nearby.

The Arc is part of the Three Rivers project enacted by Lee Myong Bak. While I think it's just the coolest thing, locals have a bad aftertaste about it. It was a project that was enacted to make the major rivers in Korea into park and bike paths but I think it has a sour taste because the money allocated for it wasn't used for the project.
